The History of Technology Laboratory is a playspace for learning and creating with old media.
Founded in 2023 by Dr. Jenna Supp-Montgomerie (Associate Professor of Communications Studies and Religious Studies), the History of Technology Lab is a space in which students, faculty, and researchers across the University can play and create with old media. Located in the Becker Communication Studies Building, the HOTLab features an expansive collection of media dating from 1925, including telegraph equipment, typewriters, early computers, and much more.
